THE SHIP SAILING ON ROUTE K290
ROUTE K290
Day 1 RIJEKA – KRK ISLAND, Saturday
We start the journey in Rijeka where boarding starts at 12:00h.
Get settled in your cabin till 14:00 when we start our trip sailing towards the island of Krk. We will have our first lunch on board. Island Krk is located next to the neighboring Island of Cres and it is one of the largest islands in the Adriatic Sea and
also the most populated island in Croatia.
The island is also the home to the world’s longest street, Klančić, which you can find in the center of Vrbnik. This narrow, winding street is a unique
attraction that you must see and try to pass through. On the way to Krk, depending on the weather, we will make a swim stop for the bravest guests, giving you the chance to take a refreshing
dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. The waterfront of Krk Town is full of energy, with plenty of bars where you can enjoy a drink or a variety of restaurants offering delicious dinner options. Spend the night in Krk.
Day 2 KRK ISLAND – GOLI OTOK (“NAKED ISLAND”) – SAINT GRGUR ISLAND Sunday
After breakfast, the journey will continue towards Goli Otok and Sv. Grgur. These two islands, located near Krk, are rich in history and offer a unique experience. Goli Otok (known as „Naked
Island“), located between the islands of Rab and Krk, was once known as a ‘prison island.’ It earned this name because of its dark history as the central place of repression by the Yugoslav communist regime against its political opponents. Sv. Grgur is
known for its untouched nature and peaceful atmosphere. With its quiet surroundings and scenic landscapes, Sv. Grgur provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, inviting
you to explore and relax in a tranquil setting. Lunch onboard and in the evening, you will indulge in a delicious grill dinner onboard!
Day 3 SAINT GRGUR ISLAND- RAB Monday
After breakfast, the cruise will continue towards Rab, often referred to as the ‘Island of Love.’ This charming medieval town is full of history, with its impressive stone walls, Romanesque
church towers, and ancient stone streets. A must-try is the famous ‘Rapska torta,’ a delicacy that has been passed down through generations. According to local legend, the cake was originally made by nuns for a visit from the Pope, and it remains
a close‘y guarded secret, known only to the islanders. If the weather’permits, take’a hike up to Kamenjak Hill for a breathtaking sunset view.
You will spend the night in Rab, soaking
in the island’s enchanting atmosphere.
Day 4 RAB – NOVALJA – ZADAR Tuesday
After leaving Rab, the cruise will continue towards Novalja, a vibrant town on the island of Pag known for its lively atmosphere and beautiful beaches. Novalja is also known as the summer
hub for young people, often referred to as the ‘Croatian Ibiza.’ The journey continues towards Zadar, once the metropolis of Dalmatia and today the heart of the region. Zadar’s rich cultural
heritage is evident at every turn: from the 1st-century Roman Forum to the 9th-century Church of St. Donatus, the most iconic Medieval basilica and symbol of the city. The waterfront and
town center boast a variety of excellent restaurants, while modern attractions such as the world-famous Zadar Sea Organ and the ‘Greeting to the Sun’ light installation bring a contemporary touch to the city. Overnight in Zadar.
Day 5 ZADAR – MALI LOŠINJ Wednesday
After leaving Zadar, the cruise will head towards Mali Lošinj, a picturesque island town known for its lush Mediterranean vegetation and vibrant atmosphere. Famous for its hidden coves
and Mediterranean charm, Lošinj is one of the most popular islands in the northern Adriatic. The island is also known for its long tradition of shipbuilding and its fascinating maritime heritage. Upon arrival, take a stroll along the picturesque
waterfront, visit the Apoxiomenos Museum, or explore the Lošinj Aromatic Garden filled with indigenous plants. You Can also take
a leisurely walk to the nearby town of Veli Lošinj, a charming village with narrow streets and a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for exploring on foot. Return to Mali Lošinj for an overnight stay.
DAY 6 MALI LOŠINJ – SUSAK ISLAND – CRES Thursday
Set sail from Mali Lošinj to the island of Susak, a small island in the northern Adriatic, known for its shallow sandy coves, beautiful traditional costumes, and yellowish dust that makes up the island and makes Susak unique – even experienced
sailors would agree that there is no other island like it in the entire Mediterranean. Next, head to Cres, a island with a rich history and stunning landscapes. Explore the charming town of Cres with its medieval architecture, narrow streets, and the
impressive Cres Cathedral. Overnight in Cres.
DAY 7 CRES – RIJEKA Friday
Embark on your journey from Cres to Rijeka, a vibrant port city on the Croatian coast. As you sail along the scenic shoreline, take in breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding
landscapes. Upon arrival in Rijeka, explore the city’s rich history, from the stunning Trsat Castle offering panoramic views to the bustling Korzo promenade, lined with shops, cafes, and historic buildings. Eventually, visit the Maritime and History Museum to learn about Rijeka’s seafaring past, or enjoy the local cuisine in one of the many charming restaurants. The day concludes with
